Description:
GENERAL SUMMARY
The successful applicant will join the Production Control Build team. This is a Production Operations team that is responsible for the development and maintenance of code / scripting that supports internal and external Secure Managed File Transfer. This includes interfacing with internal and external customer groups / trading partners to gather requirements, design, develop / maintain, test, implement and schedule production code / scripts.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepares production jobs for processing on multi-technology computing platforms to ensure the highest levels of service and system availability are attained
Provides technical support to Production Control and other departments; this includes on call rotation
Administers version control of scripts and coordinates the promotion of versions to all environments
Conducts code reviews to department standards
Assists with UAT / QA of developed scripts
Assures quality control by verifying output results are in accordance with established standards
Ensures timely implementations in line with customer target dates
Communicates operational status to enable immediate response to service disruptions
Resolves problems in production runs by performing problem identification and taking corrective action
Performs technical analysis of work load, equipment loading, performance bottlenecks, and software changes. Makes recommendations for improvements.
Writes reports and prepares logs according to department procedures.
Performs other duties as required
Job Requirements
JOB SPECIFICATIONSAssociates degree or equivalent experience.
Experience with Perl and KSH scripting languages required
Previous experience with Managed File Transfer preferred, especially Globalscape or Axway
Previous (3-5 years) experience in Production IT Operations preferred.
Experience with Window, Unix and Linux platforms preferred
Previous experience in a customer service setting.
Demonstrated analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Previous health care experience preferred.
