Direct Care Professional at Scottsdale

Looking to work with youth and make a difference in a childs life? We are recruiting a full-time Direct Care Professional for our Scottsdale Residential Treatment Center. The RTC is a 48-bedfacility where children and adolescents experiencing emotional and behavioral disorders live, attend school, receive intense psychiatric, behavior management and social services. We have programs for children rangingfrom 5 to 17 years old. The ratio for our residential programs is no more than a 1:6 ratio (one staff for every six clients). The RTC admits children and adolescents witha wide range of behavioral and emotional needs.

TheDIRECT CARE PROFESSIONAL (DCP) will work EVENING SHIFTS at ourresidential treatment center for youthin Scottsdale. Pay Range: $10.75-$12.38/hr depending on education/experience, plus $1/hr extra (shift differential) forhours worked between 3pm-7am.

Schedule: Days To Be Determined - Evening Shifts are:2:30pm-10:30pm Monday through Friday and can be from 7am to 11pm Saturday and Sunday. Full-time position (Part-time or on call positions also available).

As a DCP, you will be responsible to actively assist your assigned clients in the participation, involvement and routine of their program, such as:

- Facilitating groups (ex.self-esteem, anger management)

- Personal hygiene

- Chores & room care

- Meals

- Medication times

- Recreation activities

- Peer interactions & socialization

- Working on their treatment goals

Job Requirements

-Experience working with children/adolescents with behavioral/emotionalneeds REQUIRED.
-HS diploma or GED required (Bachelors degree in Psychology, Social Workor relevant field preferred).

Physical Requirements:

-Pre-employment Physical and Physical Abilities Test (to test range of motion to perform physical interventions). Ability to lift 20-45 lbs to physically intervene with clients.

Significant and frequent amounts of walking, sitting, stooping, bending & standing required. Frequent planned, outside activities causing exposure to sunlight and heat.

Speaking and hearing ability sufficient to communicate effectively by phone or in person at normal volumes. Vision adequate to read correspondence, computer screen, forms, etc. Good manual dexterity.
