Director of Marketing at Gilbert

Job Description

The Director of Marketing opportunity requires an Executive-level leader with progressive, on-the-spot, critical thinking ability who can apply their B2C experience in a highly self-directed and fast-paced Call Center environment. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, hard-working, have a great attitude, and thrive in a deadline-driven work environment. Qualified candidates must have extensive knowledge and experience in all aspects of marketing with a strong background in Direct Response marketing.  The right professional will feel comfortable taking on the full responsibility of the Marketing Team and its performance, and will progressively increase their responsibility in leadership roles.  Our Director of Marketing must be able to roll up their sleeves and work alongside of all members of the marketing team.  This successful candidate may earn the opportunity to grow into the Vice President of Marketing, and is reporting directly to the President of the company.

 

Essential Functions

 

  • Provide direction to Marketing Analysts and Marketing Managers with financial modeling and marketing campaign analysis of over (30) vendors  based on CPL (Cost-Per-Lead), CPA (Cost-Per-Acquisition), conversion ratios, as well as advertisement versioning and quantity in order to improve campaign performance.
  • Create and analyze marketing department budgets and projections in line with operational goals and overall company growth strategy.
  • Collaborate with President in creating and executing the Leadership Development Plan for all marketing department employees.
  • Create and deploy a strategic plan in creating and developing new marketing campaign tests/launches.
  • Final Negotiations of all high-level budget costs with marketing partners/vendors to deliver a decrease in CPA/ increase in department profitability, ensuring it is the lowest cost possible.
  • Manage the day-to-day activities in the Customer Acquisition Marketing department.
  • Provide mathematical risk analysis on marketing campaign execution based on direct expense, projected ROI, and opportunity cost/profit and the ability to act on the findings.
  • Deliver improved, quantifiable results on existing marketing campaigns with shared mail, direct mail, direct response television, direct response radio, newspaper/ magazine inserts, online advertising including SEO, PPC, etc.
  • Assist in Recruiting, Training, and developing talent in the Marketing department.
  • Identify, execute and evaluate multiple A/B test initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

 

  • Must have been at Marketing Director-level or higher position with the proven ability to succeed.
  • Direct Response B2C experience a must.  Call Center environment experience highly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree required with a preferred emphasis in business and or marketing.
  • MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years in leadership position with a minimum of 6 direct reports at current/most recent employment. 
  • 5+ years of experience handling full accountability with Direct Marketing campaigns that deliver year-over-year improvement in quantifiable ROI results. 
  • 7+ years of experience and proven ability to develop systematic processes in compiling and analyzing data to improve company’s profitability.
  • Proven ability to manage a Marketing Departments budget of $10 million+ annually.
  • Detail-oriented and comfortable with a fast-paced, high pressure environment.
  • Analytical thinker with excellent quantitative and superior problem-solving skills.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to articulate ideas clearly in oral and written communication.
  • Proven ability to take on full accountability of ROI analysis.
  • Proven ability to challenge the status quo and deliver innovative ideas that result in improving a company’s bottom line.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, macros and v-lookups.
  • 5+ years of experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems preferred.
