Aircraft Maintenance Support Engineer

Location: Goodyear, AZ

Clearance Type:  Secret Clearance

Duration: Contract

 

Job Requirements:

 

Responsible for the organizational technical/mechanical maintenance of an aircraft and associated ground support equipment. Technical/Mechanical background required in aircraft electrical repair, avionics, data link antenna repair and theory, and flight line maintenance. Duties will include hands on maintenance, technical validation of repairs, and on the job training.

• Aircraft mechanic for Gulfstream business aircraft which have been converted to an engineering test/demo aircraft.
• Must be capable of working on the aircraft and for performing periodic inspections on the aircraft. Capable of performing airframe, mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs to aircraft.
• The individual will support functional tests of repairs/modifications to ensure proper operation, report malfunctions to appropriate personnel and must be capable of taking responsibility for grounding an aircraft and releasing the aircraft to service after repairs are completed and tested.
• Requires extensive knowledge in specialized functions. A wide and comprehensive acquaintance with, and understanding of, both general and specific aspects and the technical phases of the job and their practical application to complex problems and situations ordinarily encountered.
• Base of operations to be Goodyear AZ. Travel to Rome Italy to support program for 90 days.
