Registrar / Admissions Advisor at Scottsdale

Job Description

The Registrar registers and withdraws students; requests records and transcripts for new students, evaluates transcripts to determine allowable credits and placement, ensuring accurate and complete student records. The position also responds to lead inquiries, emails, and calls and assists with the admissions process. The position also works with students and parents to develop an initial graduate plan and maintains grade reports to benchmark against the plan.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Responds to calls, lead inquiries, and emails to assist with the admissions process.
  • Enters and maintains student records and grade reports into online student information system; prepares, as needed, a variety of records and reports regarding student enrollment; posts all verified information to the students transcript; assists as needed in building a student graduation plan which spells out the course work that must be completed by the student prior to achieving graduation.
  • Completes intake process and assesses students course eligibility based on meeting prerequisite requirements; enrolls, transfers and withdraws students in courses.
  • Requests and releases student records from or to a variety of agencies and school districts; assists, as applicable, in the review and evaluation of transcripts to determine allowable credits; assists in determining student placement based on test scores, transcripts, referral and case history information.
  • Performs other duties upon request.

Job Requirements

  • Associates Degree required, Bachelors degree preferred.
  • Two years work experience in customer service work involving records management, preferably in the education industry.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required.
    • Highly motivated with excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and problem solving skills.
    • Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills, self-directed and able to handle multiple priorities with demanding timeframes.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a high-quality results-driven, team oriented environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Working knowledge of NetSuite and/or CRM database software preferred.
