Manager of Business Analysis at Scottsdale

Job Description

Responsibilities: Our client is seeking a Manager of IT Business Analysis in Scottsdale, AZ.They are seeking a high energy leader, comfortable supporting multifaceted projects in conjunction with normal activities with a demonstrated ability to influence others and impact change. Individual should be well organized with a participative management style - advocates a team concept. Needs to have well-developed interpersonal skills, the ability to get along well with diverse personalities and the ability to establish credibility. Should be results and profit-oriented supporting the organizations preferences and priorities.Responsibilities:
  • Manages activities and staff responsible for IT Business Analysis function
  • The Analysis function is responsible for the elicitation, documentation and analysis of business objectives and detailed business requirements for software systems as well as validation of those requirements
  • Aligns internal staff and hires contract associates to effectively execute the analysis function in support of a dynamic portfolio of project and system enhancement work
  • Reviews and evaluates work focusing on continuous improvement in processes and methods
  • Confers with and advises staff on problem solving, priorities, and best practices
  • Consults with personnel in other IT disciplines such as development, testing and project management to coordinate activities
  • Executes performance reviews, performance coaching and ongoing career development activities for direct reports
  • Manages all activities and functions of a staff involved with the elicitation, documentation and analysis of business requirements, both functional and non-functional for software development projects and enhancements Also includes development of as-is and to-be business process models, requirements validation activities, including traceability and UAT, consensus building, requirements management, and static testing

Job Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate studies in Computer Science Management Information Systems, Business Administration, Insurance or related field is preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of the Solution Delivery Framework and Methodology
  • Thorough knowledge of development methodologies including Agile and Waterfall
  • Thorough knowledge in the business analysis function, requirements management and best practices
  • Eight years of experience in related IT professions, including at least four years of experience in IT Business Analysis At least two years of experience in people management preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and motivation to teams
  • Experience in collaborating and leveraging resources
  • Solid systems analysis and problem solving skills
  • Ability to adapt to change and implement quickly based on overall direction and needs of the organization
  • Demonstrated strong decision-making, interpersonal and negotiating skills
  • Possess a history of managing multiple activities with varying priorities while ensuring accurate and timely results
  • Proven success at setting challenging team goals, and designing systems and processes to measure results
  • Displays original thinking and creativity; Meets challenges with resourcefulness; Generates suggestions for improving work
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey information and ideas in a variety of media, tactful, confident, at all levels, internal and external
  • Demonstrated aptitude for process improvement
  • Ability to provide cross-functional and organizational leadership within a highly matrix organization
