The Commercial Desk Analyst will assist with pricing reviews and requests for non-standard pricing. The position will develop and prepare product pricing in accordance with RFP and internal requirements. This position will ensure the integrity of customer pricing in order to maximize profitability, minimize financial risk and increase customer satisfaction. This position will also develop, implement and maintain internal and external reporting as needed. This position will lead cross functional project teams to improve efficiencies and as a team member will be responsible for the planning of project activities, development of the project plan and reporting of progress.
- Review/analyze and approve exception pricing requests submitted by the Global Sales Team in coordination with Sales Leadership.
- Supervise the shared pricing mailbox, ensuring timely responses.
- Work with pricing teammates to develop pricing processes to improve efficiencies and balance priorities.
- Take initiative in identifying, researching, and resolving pricing issues.
- Develop, implement, and maintain internal and external reporting as needed.
- Querying/data extracts/data uploading/statistical needs analysis for each business unit, process improvement, and policy and procedure recommendations.
- Analyze/understand business challenges; map current business processes to the system or service, determine interface requirements, and resolve any issues which may affect the business process.
- Ongoing analysis of the Commercial Desk data needs and uses, including researching and recommending appropriate resources to enhance the quality and volume of data available.
- Assist with the development of project documents including: requirements gathering, process flows, and other pertinent documentation.
- Supply ongoing end user support addressing critical process or product functional deficiencies.
- Track ongoing post project implementation issues and work collaboratively with functional experts to address critical project issues and provide formal recommended solutions.
Job Requirements
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Ability to resolve conflicting situations and communicate effectively.
- Proven effective communication and presentation skills at all levels within the organization.
- Proven proficiency using PC applications (Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Access).
- Familiarization with MS SQL desired.

Required Work Experience
- Experience in pricing, finance, customer service, sales or product administration or closely related experience.

- Proven ability to work successfully with minimal supervision.
