Job Title: Underwriter

Location: Tempe, AZ

Duration: 6 - 12 Months Contract

Timings: 40 hr per week

 

Description:

- Research foreclosure sale information – reasons for delays in the process
- Review Explanation of Benefits from the MI Company and locate documentation to support the reasoning
- Provide the documents in an appeal to the MI Company & file the supplemental claim with the MI Company
- Contact attorneys for explanations regarding terminology and delays
- Extensive research on notes and documentation
- Main Function: research curtailment reasons, locate supporting documentation to appeal the curtailment, and file the supplemental claim with the MI Company
- Would prefer someone with foreclosure and/or mortgage experience however it is not required.
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, quick learner, be able to multi-task and think outside the box.
-Must be detailed oriented and work independently. Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills as candidate will be working with attorneys, and internal/external customers.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

1. At minimum one year Default Servicing experience in collections and/or foreclosure required.
2. Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint (intermediate skills required).
3. Requires strong research and analytical ability, attention to detail.
4. Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills.
