SQL Developer at Phoenix

Job Description

Comforce has an immediate opening for a SQL Developer. This opportunity will require a candidate who has excellent T-SQL skills and ONE of the following skills:  PowerBuilder and Solaris (scripting). The projects will include enhancements, maintenance and new development.

This position is with one of the valleys largest media companies!!  A GREAT opportunity for the right developer!!!

 

Job Requirements

Must have:
Strong Transact-SQL strong preference for Sybase 15 but will accept MS SQL Server version. They need to have at least 5 years current experience writing complex stored procs using ANSI SQL-92 format.
 
Must have one of the following two skill sets and be willing to learn the other:
Unix Sun Solaris preferably but any recent flavor will do.
  --- OR ---
Powerbuilder 12.0/12.5
 
Nice to have:
Agile development. My client is slowly moving to an Agile development methodology.
 
Other:
The other requirements are work in a team environment as well as be a self-starter.  Very good communications skills in both technical and non-technical environments as my development team works directly with our users on projects. Ability to meet tight deadlines and a willingness to take day-time on-call.
 
This initial position is a 12 month contract.
