This position is responsible for customer relationship management in Pima County. Focus is on contracted Skilled Nursing facilities and requires a candidate to possess strong relationship and communication skills in order to be able to perform the account management piece of this position. Candidate will also be responsible to enroll long term care residents into the Optum program so strong knowledge of long term/nursing home care is required.Essential Functions:The Sales and Account Manager is responsible for educating eligible consumers and institutions about the Medicare product lines; generating enrollment leads and referrals; conversion of leads and referrals to support enrollment of Medicare eligible consumers into the Optum Medicare Advantage plan; and managing Optums engagement with stakeholders and organizations focused on services to a shared client base. Responsible for member enrollment and achieving a defined minimum number of monthly sales through solid execution of the following: 1) Lead generation and lead management, 2) Overcoming sales objections, 3) Facilitating completion of enrollment application, 4) Ensuring member enrollment completed.Performs customer account management to multiple customers including; skilled nursing facilities, interfacing with partnering physician groups, local market health plan leaders, and case managers. Provides Optum name awareness and program education to the multi-customers in the marketing territory. Serves as a key contact for identifying operational deficiencies and is a conduit towards finding resolution toward these obstacles.Works under the direction of the Sales Lead to drive and achieve sales goals by leading or advancing the sales cycle for Medicare Advantage product lines. Instrumental in lead generation for Optum Medicare products. Contributes to the development of a viable sales plan for the assigned territory.Serves as a subject matter expert on Optum plans and all UnitedHealth Care Medicare products and maintains all current product certifications and appropriate licensure.Serves as a liaison for the Health Plan in a designated territory via (group) or individual education opportunities.Develops new forums to educate eligible consumers about Optum products.Conducts presentations, sales activities and other informational events in accordance with current approved communication and marketing programs and state/federal regulations. Participates in planning and implementation of outreach strategies and programs in conjunction with clinical and Provider Relations staff. Travels throughout assigned territory to provide education about Optum to promote enrollment.Executes basic administrative duties as defined by the Sales Lead, including detailed management of appropriate reporting/database systems, funnel management, customer information, territory planning, etc.Maintains a working knowledge of plan benefit, program changes and industry insights.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:-College degreepreferred or substantial long term care and Sales experiencein lieu of degree.-Successful sales and marketing experience in healthcare or health insurance, preferably with seniors - Experience working for or marketing to Skilled Nursing Facilities strongly preferred-Active producers license through the Arizona Department of Insurance-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills -Strong consultative selling and presentation skills -Ability to develop and manage relationships to reach business goals -Ability to be compassionate while selling -Function independently and responsibly with minimal need for supervision -Time and Territory Management experience -Ability to travel throughout the designated local territory up to 75% of local day travel-Reliable, insured transportation and a valid drivers license. -Computer skills: Windows-based applications and lead management software -Previous experience selling Medicare products is strongly preferred
