POSITION OVERVIEW

The Supervisor I Operations position coordinates the day-to-day operations of the department assigned. Responsible for processes and improvements, problem solving and make sure all production and quality standards are me.
FLOATATION EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
SUPERVISION EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Monitor daily production and quality parameters.
• Recommends process improvements.
• Involvement in safety initiatives.
• Customer quality visits and related team involvement.
• Ensures safety and environmental compliance of area.
• Manages projects as assigned.
• Maintains/updates information in the ASARCO Management System.
• Supervises hourly employees, conducts training as required and provides employee feedback as needed.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Strong interpersonal skills in developing consensus building.
• Must have excellent computer skills with MS Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, Access and MS Outlook.
• Must be able to manage time effectively and set priorities.
• Requires the ability to manage multiple tasks and troubleshoot.
