HR Systems Data Analyst at Phoenix

Job Description



The HR Systems Data Analyst will develop, compile, update and maintain complex scorecards, dashboards, and other types of detailed reports. The HR Systems Data Analyst will primarily support all areas of Human Resources including Systems, Payroll, Compensation, Benefits, Labor, Field HR, and Learning & Training for the purposes of providing accurate, timely and relevant data analysis to meet each departments diverse requirements.

Consults with internal customers to understand information needs and builds custom reports of a complex nature to provide information solutions. Identifies, analyzes, and interprets trends or patterns in complex data sets. In collaboration with others, develops and maintains databases and data systems necessary for projects and department functions. Acquires and abstracts primary and secondary data from existing internal and external data sources. This will include internal applications, stand-alone databases, and a variety of third party applications. Recognizes and extracts critical indicators from large and complex data sets and interprets and expresses those indicators in a business context. In collaboration with others, develops and implements data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality. Develops graphs, reports, and presentations for various Company and department monthly, quarterly and yearly meetings. Performs basic statistical analyses for projects and reports. Creates and presents quality dashboards that adhere to a Company standard. Generates routine and ad hoc reports as needed. Provides complex information in an understandable and compelling manner. Creates required reports and scorecards in a durable, efficient and repeatable structure along with detailed documentation that allows other users the ability to update, maintain and recreate. Creates and manages pivot tables, & other analytical presentations of data. Performs other job related duties as assigned. Job Requirements



Minimum Qualifications :

High School Diploma or G.E.D. Knowledge of business systems and data analysis. Minimum of 5 years of in-depth hands-on relational database and reporting experience. PC software knowledge and skills, including Excel, Access, PowerPoint, SQL, and Crystal reporting.

Preferred Qualifications :

Bachelors Degree in Information Management, Computing, Mathematics, Statistics, Human Resources, or related fields. Technical understanding of one or more commercial HR systems products and an understanding of database construction and data models. Experience with system development life cycle. Programming skills. Adept at queries and report writing.
