Job Description

Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian at Yuma Regional Medical Center (YRMC), a 406-bed, not-for-profit hospital dedicated to providing outstanding medical care to the residents of Yuma, AZ and the surrounding communities in southwestern Arizona. This is a position scheduled to work full time with benefits.

The selected candidate will report to the Clinical Nutrition Manager (CNM).

The ideal candidate will:

• Be a registered dietitan with a minimum of 2 years clinical acute care experience
• Be competent in providing nutritional care to pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, and critical care patients
• Have basic experience with Electronic Health Record, preferably Epic brand
• Show familiarity and competence with the Nutrition Care Process and ADIME charting format
• Attend interdisciplinary team meetings and be fully engaged with the medical healthcare team
• Demonstrate skills in managing and/or developing staff both inside and outside the department
• Basic involvement with policy and procedures and/or CMS and other regulatory readiness and review
• Establish and maintain standards of care and professionalism
• Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills
• Assist Clinical Nutrition Manager with management responsibilities as needed
• Be fully engaged with Food Service Department
• Exhibit strong initiative and basic leadership skills
• Work some weekends, holidays and extended hours during peak season

Provides comprehensive nutrition assessments and care planning for patients/residents. Plans special diets and supervises their preparation. Instructs patients/residents and/or hospital personnel in principles of nutrition and modifications of normal diet. Performs routine care responsibilities without training and direction.

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelors Degree
Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian.
