Analyst - PTS Compliance at Phoenix

Ryans Property Tax practice is the largest in North America, managing billions of dollars of our clients real and personal property, with an emphasis on complex industrial and commercial properties. Ryans tax compliance processes and controls ensure complete and accurate reporting in accordance with property tax rules and regulations. Ryans multi-disciplined consultants and valuation professionals continually develop and refine our valuation methodologies and tax appeal strategies to address evolving technologies, governmental regulations, competition, and change in market conditions, all of which affect the value of our clients assets.

With more than 750 professionals across 33 North American locations, Ryan combines a national presence with in-depth local expertise to obtain accurate and fair assessments for our clients.

We have a need for a Tax Analyst in our Phoenix, AZ office. In this exciting position you will provide support to Property Tax Consultants in the maintenance, evaluations and appeal of clients properties.

The Tax Analyst will also be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

- Receives, identifies and timely distributes all incoming mail, assessment notices and tax bills.

- Uses proprietary software at elementary level for data entry and determining jurisdictional or client assignments for mail distribution.

- Copies, scans, sorts, batches, and files tax bill information into systems for transmitting information to India resources for processing.

- Coordinates outgoing mail processes, including preparation of certified and return receipts for all jurisdictional statutory deadlines and other pertinent mailings.

- Identifies and forwards owner mail (i.e. weed/zone notices, delinquent bills, and reminder notices).

- Assists in preparation for board hearings by copying, collating and binding documentation for presentations to the review board.

- Acquiring knowledge of property tax jurisdictions throughout the country including Protest deadlines, Appeal deadlines and tracking statutory deadlines

Minimum Qualifications

- 1+ years in a related field (property tax consulting, loan processing, real estate closing, etc...)

- Experience with MS Excel and Word

- Experience managing conflicting priorities

- High school diploma

- Possesses attention to accuracy and detail

- Excellent use of time management skills for coordinating substantial jurisdictional incoming data in limited timeframe to meet statutory deadlines. Data includes: assessment notices, board hearing notices, compliance returns, tax bills and agency authorizations
