New Product Buyer at Tucson

New Product Buyer.  Our client in Tucson, AZ is currently seeking a New Product Buyer to fulfill a contract role to support part and raw material procurement activities.  The candidate will obtain quotes from suppliers for price, delivery, and terms, as well as obtain First Article samples from suppliers, as required.

Responsibilities:
• Interface with Engineering and Suppliers for drawing/specification issue resolution
• Place purchase orders to support R&D parts and raw material procurement
• Enter purchase orders in the ERP system and send confirming purchase orders, as required.
• Insure compatibility of unit of measure, cost, and quantity when entering purchase orders in ERP system.
• Follow-up on Purchase Order approvals
• Follow-up on part delivery status with suppliers as required.
• Maintain Bill of Material and Part Order metrics as required.
