Food Service Manager 1 at Phoenix

Innovate. Lead. Inspire. Sodexo is seeking a talented and innovative Food Service Manager 1 of Food Service for our Blue Cross/Blue Shield corporate services account in Phoenix, AZ. This Food Service Manager 1 will oversee the full services caf and catering events, as well as oversee the day to day scheduling and technical delivery of catering events. Manages all catered events. Oversee all day to day operations with all aspects of finance. Oversee 3 locations a coffee shop, satellite building with 2 employees.

The ideal candidate will have

• 2-4 years of exp in a food service management role
• Strong culinary background, high volume catering exp and hands on
• Experience managing multiple events
• Experience training and leading catering staff
• Experience costing and pricing catering menu, food and labor cost control
• Exceptional communication skills, professional and customer services oriented
• Experience with financial reporting such as payroll, labor and food cost and more.
• Knowledgeable of MS Office programs/Familiar with Sodexo programs.
• Bilingual is Spanish a Plus

Responsible for managing multi-functional food service areas in a single unit. May assume GMs responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Assists in maintenance of cash control and payroll records. Assists in supporting the financial/HR functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations.

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED
Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
