SAS Programmer

Experis (formerly COMSYS) is seeking a SAS Programmer to fill the following role:

PROJECT & POSITION INFORMATION:
* Role is supporting the US membership rewards project, currently in analyze phase.
* This candidate will be responsible for analysis and development of all SAS code required of the project, which includes financial models which are currently being developed by finance.
* Familiarity with financial models is a plus.
* Candidate must be a strong SAS programmer, able to document and evaluate current code, develop new code, and work with other SAS programmers to fully develop, test and deploy SAS components in support of the project.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
* 3+ years of SAS programming is required.
* Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field (or has equivalent work experience).
* Experience using applicable programming methodologies.
* Experience of using a systems analysis and design methodology.
* Experience of using a variety of software languages.
* Has Conceptual Architecture knowledge.
* Has an understanding of industry trends and tools.

FUNCTIONAL CAPABILITY
* Assists Lead Programmer/Analyst(s) completing technical design documentation.
* Provides estimates for design, build, test and implementation phases.
* Undertakes regular code reviews to ensure alignment with development and performance standards.
* Converts program specifications into source code or monitors 3rd party development resources.
* Updates program specification documentation.
* Revises code based on test results or monitors 3rd party development resources.
* Works with project team to prepare code for production.
* Involved in unit testing, integration and user acceptance testing: - Reviews test scripts. - Aligns with wider testing strategy.
