Our clients currently have immediate needs for experienced, top-talentUB Medical Billers and Collectors to join their team!Job DutiesA successful Medical Biller and Collector will be responsible for the following:

• Reviewing remittance advice forms to verify proper reimbursement to make adjustments as necessary
• Performing analysis of patient records and determines the legitimacy of treatment, diagnostic testing and admissions
• Verifying that records for patients include all information required for Third Party reimbursement
• Handling billing and collections, denials and appeals, and checking claim status
• Processing billing and follow-up
• Ensuring that hospital records for patients include all information required for Third Party reimbursement
• Verifying correct Third Party coding to ensure prompt payment
• Verifying billing information for electronic claims transmission and hard copy billing (UB-04)
• Consulting with claims processors at Third Party Payer companies regarding disputes/denied claims and follow up on all bills not processed within usual claim period

Requirements

• Minimum2 years experience as a Medical Collector or Billerwith experienceusingUB forms
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)a PLUS!
• Must successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screen.

• Must have a verifiable High School Diploma orGED
