Manager I Information Assur
Job Description: Position is primarily responsible for the development and administration of information systems security procedures for Raytheon customer information systems and networks supporting DoD as well as perform supervisory duties. The candidate will communicate and coordinate Information Systems Security policy across multiple classified programs. Coordinate with representatives from the Defense Security Services (DSS) and Raytheons Facility Security Officer on a regular basis. Review all System Security Plans and endorse those which meet National Industrial Security Policy Operations Manual (NISPOM) and Industrial Security Field Operations Process Manual (ISFO) compliance. Assist in developing and maintaining IS Security Program. Implement and enforce IS Security Policy. Responsible for ensuring all NISPOM and Raytheon Missile Systems requirements are implemented and functional by coordinating with the responsible individual(s); the Systems Administrator, the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) and/or the Program staff. Oversee all ISSOs to ensure that they are following established information security policies and procedures. Complete employee evaluations, provide training and mentoring to ISSOs as well as additional supervisor responsibilities. Will be called upon to represent Information Assurance during meetings with Program Management to provide NISPOM interpretations and recommend IA solutions. Responsible for participating and providing leadership for IA and information technology (IT) projects. Other job duties as identified by management.
Required Skills: 6 years experience with Chapter 8 of the DOD NISPOM, ISFO and experience with the certification and accreditation process for IS that process classified information. Solid understanding of Windows and Linux based Operating Systems. Solid understanding of networking: TCP/IP, Ports, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Switch/Router configuration and Security. Solid understanding of current best practices for Information Assurance and System/Network Security. Familiarity with documentation and tools such as: NISPOM, DOD 8500 series, NIST Special Publications (800-53, 800-37, etc.) SNAC Guides, DISA STIGs, Gold Disk, Retina, Nessus, WSUS, etc. Demonstrated experience developing IS security plans, policy, and procedures for complex networks (contractor and government Wide Area Networks). Coordinate external information systems audits and reviews. Develop and implement change management policy and procedures for authorizing use of hardware/software on an information system. Experience with providing Information Assurance guidance and training based off of the NISPOM and ISFO to users with varying levels of Information Technology and Security experience. Possess excellent writing, verbal, organizational and customer service skills. Individual must be able to work with moderate supervision, flexible with work assignments, be a self-starter and work in both team and individual environments. Possess a Security+ certification or equivalent IA certification. The ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance while a Secret clearance is being processed.
Desired Skills: Ability to develop solutions to problems of moderate scope and complexity. Must be capable of network and system auditing (i.e., NT, UNIX) including: physical security, network and application password administration, file access privileges, processes privileges, etc. Ability to distinguish test equipment in an Information System (IS) and high level knowledge of how it operates in the IS. Familiar with the security features and/or vulnerability of various operating systems. Time and project management. Ability to work extended hours in a fast paced, deadline driven environment. Willing to travel on company business. Must possess a valid drivers license. Following certifications are preferred but not required: CISA, C|EH, CCNA, Linux+, Network+, E|NSA, Microsoft Certification, Red Hat Certification. Possesses and maintains an IS professional certification commensurate with DoD 8570.1-M requirements (CISM, CISSP or other).
Required Education: 6 years experience in related field with BS/BA Information Systems/Information Assurance.
